This four minute video shows the end result of the construction of my home theater upgrade using the Star Trek Enterprise bridge colors (see construction slideshow video link below). Inspired (and copied) from "The Bridge Home Theater" of Gary Reighn. I am using an Optoma TX1080 1080p DLP Projector on a 120" screen. The LCARS displays are running from a Dell laptop. The sound system has 7.1 audio. Lighting is controlled by X-10. Four network connections interface the equipment with my home network. A Sony Blu-ray player is used for media, WDTV Live (Western Digital) is used for connection to 1TB hard disk and 5TB media server, the internet and streaming from the home network. This was a 10 week project completed Thanksgiving 2010. Phase 1 consisted of wall treatments (with star ports). Phase 2 included the projector, screen/ speakers, and Lcars displays. Phase 3 included the turbolift doors, lighting, and final details. This sequence was shot with a Canon HFS-100 and edited in Adobe Premier CS5. Yes, my wife is happy!
