I used a 10" LCD monitor I already owned, but you could easily modify the build for an iPad, Kindle, or tablet PC. Without the camera and LCD, the unit weighs 4 lbs. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions! I LEARNED 1) It's easy to build a cheap teleprompter! 2) Regular glass, although not super bright or sharp, works pretty well. You may not need to spring for more expensive beamsplitter glass designed for teleprompters. Update: I found even better glass, for free: youtu.be 3) At 10' from the camera, it's hard to notice the talent's eyes darting back and forth while reading, and it looks much better than an off-camera monitor or cue cards. ]]> Samsung LCD TV: Failed Power On (Clicking) Repair Disclaimer, I take no responsibility for any harm done while attempting this. This is a fairly straight forward and easy fix, but if you doubt your abilities, please consult someone who knows what they're doing. Here we are taking a look at a Samsung LNT4665FX TV with the commonly know "clicking" issue. This is a common problem among several Samsung TV's made around this time and spans across several model numbers and TV sizes. Parts and tools needed. I used a #3 Phillips head screw driver for everything. You will also need a soldering iron (I used a selectable 20w/40w, but any smaller pencil type should work) Desoldering wire wick or a solder sucker is very useful, but not necessary. Solder flux and, of course, solder. The capacitors used were bought from Radio Shack, part number: 2721032. They are 1000uf 35v capacitors. These are not the exact part number or specs of the original capacitors, but they do work and are readily available.
