Still wanting plasma, looked at some places online and it seems hard to find a 42 1080p non 3d for under 600... I could be looking in the wrong place

LED isn't bad either tho man.. I've seen some pretty sexy looking picture from LED... But the black levels dont even come close to that of Plasma. Where are you looking to buy from? just wondering

Perfect, No need for 3d, just 1080... having a hard time finding a descent samsung or panasonic for under 600. Maybe im looking in the wrong places.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Have been researching lcd too long and finally found out plasma is the way to go.

man u can get a non 3d 1080p plasma for under 600 bucks now guarenteed. 1080p is mainstream now bro

so do you have a suggestion for a plasma? higher end samsung and panasonic are still costly. I was looking for a 42 or 43" model, would prefer 1080, but I know most are 720-thanks

keep in mind ur watching this in 30 fps on youtube and hes showing you it in a store with the lights on. plasmas are better all around the only thing that stops ppl from buying plasma is they think the image will be burned in which can easily be reversed now adays with using pixel wobble on your remote or watching a tv program and also setting the contrast to below 50% within the first 100 hrs of use. if ur a gamer like me plasmas are good if u hate using vsync and having ur gpu's fps reduced.

I think it just depends on who's watching it really. I mean something that might look awesome to me on a Plasma might look better to people on a Lcd and vice versa. I've been stuck in the stone age for a while and have only upgraded to a flat screen 2 months ago lol so I'd take either

Plasmas produce a more natural picture, generally. It depends very much on the TV though. The negatives about Plasmas that people used to love to point out have been fixed now. I always used to go for LCDs but have had my Panasonic VT20 since November 2010 and being a good plasma it produces fantastically vibrant pictures. I'm sure newer good plasmas will produce even better pictures. I'd always say go to a few good retailers and look with your own eyes, see what your eyes like.
