my ps3 became corrupt round 2months ago , i rang sony and the lady operator advised me to mail it to them to be fixed for $250 AUD i was like fuck you biarch when i hung up, 10 minutes later i rang up sony again and got onto another operater he guided me through the steps you have to take to un corrupt the ps3 and it worked problem solved and saved 250 bux, that biarch wanted me to send pffft ... always ring back when you arnt happy because different operators can sometimes offer better help.

thats why when you invest in technology these days such as a new tv, camera, laptop etc it pays you to buy extended warranty, like you said back in the day stuff was great, these days you cant trust even the most respected brands. when i buy my new tv im definately buying maximum extended warranty, i bought a camera that fucked up 3 months after my 2 year warranty, i was going to buy 5 year warranty but thought nah 2 should be fine, lesson learnt buy maximum warranty offered.

NEVER BUY SONY PRODUCTs they will not Last. Not like the back in the day. Now they dont care. MY TV BROKE 2 years to the day. OUT OF WARRANTY.. TERRIBLE.

I'm not sure 'cos i don't have particularly this model but, I think the USB port on the back is for service only, it doesn't work as an input...!!! but just an opinion I don't know! please let me know if I'm wrong.
