Need some help.. I'm wondering which sound card to get for true 5.1 surround (or 7.1 later if i buy another set of speakers). I was considering the Titanium Fatal1ty Pro, but I'm told that it doesn't support true 5.1 if I go analog, and totally skips the dacs on the card if I go optical (in otherwords, bad card). Now I see Xonar Essence STX (is this the latest Xonar?) I'm told this one doesn't support true 5.1 either... Now I see this Recon3D (3 versions of it? wow..) Ok so what do I get?

What i done was i went opticial out to my logitech Z-5500 volume pod and i used the earphone jack on that.... But i just couldnt believe youd think that card would explode quality but i was wrong..I notice in any computer part you buy you have a choice there good better and best..The card im waiting on now people call it a audiophile card what ever that means

I cant believe it i bought this recon 3D card & my almost 5 year old Xfi fatality1 pro series card with the dolby digital live dts pack which i bought on line sounds better then this recon 3d card..i guess you get what you pay for..so no fooling around i returned this card and i ordered the HT Omega claro halo which i read the specs is twice the card of the Recon 3d..im finished with creative..
