You need to be VERY careful and not pass hard or scratch the the screen. Use an old credit card to gently remove the wax, as much as you can. gently chip away the wax until it goes away. Screens get ruined when they are scratched or pressed too hard so keep that in mind. There are no products that you can use to dissolve the wax. That is the best solution I can think of given that this is a very challenging stain.

Hey Kelly, in theory you can make your own distilled water (although it's a bit of a process). If you want to get a bit of distilled water quickly and don't want to buy it, I suppose you can do this (it will yield enough to do the cleaning above): Boil a pot of water and use the water condensation built up on the bottom of the pot lid, that will be mineral-free!

In this video, cleaning expert, Melissa Maker, demonstrates how to clean a flat screen TV (i.e. LCD or Plasma). Many people are worried about touching the screen and ruining it, scratching it or removing the anti-glare coating, yet get annoyed with fingerprints and streaks on the screen. Here, I show everyone how simple it is to clean a flat screen and of course, the proper way to do it! Enjoy!
How do I properly clean my flat screen TV?
Answer:
What you need-
1) Flat Screen TV or monitor
2) Microfiber cloth
3) Distilled water
Turn your screen off and make sure it's been off for at least 30 minutes for best results.
For day-to-day cleanings, use an optical cloth in a circular motion to clean any fingerprints or dust from the screen.
The 'Blow' Method
Find a spot on your screen. Take a deep breath and exhale directly over that spot on your screen. Take your cloth and quickly buff it dry in a circular motion.
The Water Method
Spray a microfiber cloth with water, facing away from the screen. You'll want to mist it so it's almost dry. Never spray directly on the screen since it can drip into the bottom and damage your screen. Locate a spot on the screen that needs to be cleaned. Wipe in a circular motion over the dirty area. Take your finger and put it into the cloth so you can be exact with your cleaning. Don't apply too much pressure though!
FYI: Anything other than distilled water, including tap water, bottled water, or screen cleaners, will leave a residue on your screen and can even ruin the anti-glare finish.
** BONUS TIP**
The high gloss finish around your screen can be cleaned the EXACT same way. Just remember to buff with a dry cloth after! Less
