That is how I used to put those PAL coax connectors on before F types. I found folding the outer copper (shield) back before putting the clip on lead sometimes to bad connection. I put the clip on before stripping the cable, then fold the outer copper over the clip, that way it compresses the outter copper against the metal body when screwed in, rather than clamped between the clip and black rubber coax.

Thank you for this. You're exactly right: not everyone (in fact very few people) have an actual coax stripper. This was a perfect tutorial for me and now I'm able to connect the cable.

Yes it it is, but not everybody has a coax strippers - and if you own one you probably know how to put on a coaxial connector
