@theroom2009 Video games on a plasma are better. Has a refresh rate nearly 3 times faster. I have three TV's. First was an LCD 120 hz, next was an LED LCD 240hz, Went and bought a Plasma at 600hz and the difference is crazy.
PLASMA ALL THE WAY!!!!

@MrJohnFodor I'm guessing you have never owned a high end plasma TV. CRT? Are you joking? Go get yourself a Samsung 8000 plasma and tell me it is crap. Mine brings a smile to my face every time I fire up a game.

I like my plasma because I never need to turn the radiator on for heating, the tv gives enough out :)
Got a 37inch panasonic plasma, 2 weeks time also getting 42inch samsung plasma,
Best to go for plasmas that have VGA, hdmi, digital optical ports all in one.

when it comes to plasma get samsung..........blows everything else away. Colors and resolution are best on samsung. plasma is cheaper then lcd but plasma is harder to find in s mall sizes but trust me...50in will soon be standard size. many 50in plasmas out there.

I have owned both and plasma is much better. you get a great picture at all and every angle. Also, plasma has a more relaistic picture. LCD is more computer like.

@Zacccc51 i disagree, for that reason game companies would not make 1080p games. i agree that some games look the same in 1080p and 720p, but there are alot of games that use the 1080p to their advantage example Gran Tourism 5, Dead space 2 and uncharted 3, only to name some. i have both an LCD and a plasma, but i find that the quality and color is alot more vibrant on a plasma, therefore more enjoyable to play.
Dec 30, 2011 Zacccc51 Says:
@sephirotharsy6 Actually, it's way overkill. PS3 only goes up to 720p quality. Anything above that won't be used to it's full potential. It really doesn't matter if it's plasma or not imo.

@dannycsn Unless it's gonna be 48 inches or higher, that 1080 doesn't really show any difference. In fact if anything the tv would upscale moves and games more for them to be displayed in 1080 and it might look cropped. Mainly cause alot of stuff isn't in 1080. Not tv. Not even really games.
1080 is used to fill bigger surfaces so the picture doesn't suffer. Having it on smaller surfaces doesn't really make any difference. oh and go panasonic. Others all seem to blow after 2 years
